South Korea Undergraduate Scholarships for Kenyans

The Government of the Republic of Korea is offering two (2) full scholarships to Kenyans for undergraduate for the 2012/2013 academic year.
The Areas of study are in the field of Engineering, Sciences, Technology and Medicine.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following conditions:
1. Minimum KCSE Mean Grade of B (plain).
2. Not more than 25 years of age by March, 2013.
3. Strong grades on the major subjects that are key to the specialty preferred
4. Completed Secondary Education in the last three (3) years.
5. Has KCSE certificate

Application Procedure

Preliminary application forms are obtainable from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology offices at Telposta Towers, 27th floor, Room 2702. The application forms can also be downloaded from the Ministry’s website: www.scienceandtechnology.go.ke.

Completed application forms with attached certified photocopies of ID, academic/professional certificates, transcripts, birth certificate, other testimonials should be sent to:

NAIROBI.

The application forms should reach the Ministry not later than 28th September, 2012.

Phd Economics Scholarships for Kenyans

AERC in collaboration with the Government of Kenya seeks to build a pool of qualified Economists and policy analysts with the ability to acquire and apply latest economic tools of analysis for effective policy analysis and policy formulation that will promote sustainable and higher level of economic growth and development, through a Scholarship Programme for PhD students in Economics. The scholarships will be offered in collaboration with Universities across the Region with whom AERC has partnerships.

Requirements:
To qualify for scholarship, the candidate must have applied and been admitted to any one of the following partner Universities:-
  • University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania;
  • University of Cape Town, South Africa;
  • University of Witswatersrand, South Africa.
In addition, he/she must have a Masters Degree in Economics/Agricultural Economics from a recognized University.

Interested candidates should submit their applications directly to the respective Universities with a copy to AERC on schorlarships@aercafrica.org. The application procedure can be obtained from the Universities’ websites. Kindly submit your applications not later than 25th September 2012.

Australia Awards in Africa: Masters Scholarships

  • Ministry of State for Public Service

Target Group 

  • You are a national of Kenya.
  • You are an early or mid-career professional working in the Public Sector, the Private Sector or non-government organisation (Civil Society) in one of the listed priority fields of study.
  • You wish to undertake a Masters degree in Australia in one of the listed priority fields of study.
  • You have a clear vision for how you will use the knowledge gained through the Masters degree to improve policy, practice or education in the proposed field of study.
  • You must not be more than 52 years of age at the date of your application.
  • You must have at least three (3) years’ relevant work experience.
  • You possess, as a minimum, a Bachelors degree (or the equivalent) from a recognised Institution of at least 4 years in length with at least a 2:2 (2 nd Class Lower Division).
  • You must not already hold, or be studying for, a Masters degree
  • You must be willing to make a formal commitment to return to your current employment following completion of the award
