    University of Bern, Switzerland Masters Grants


    The Universität Bern offers six Master Grants for the academic year 2013/14 for excellent international students. The grant consists of 1'600 CHF per month for the duration of the Master's programme (standard period of study).

    African Institute of Mathematical Sciences: Fully Funded Masters Degrees

    AIMS-South Africa, AIMS-Ghana and AIMS-Senegal 
    AIMS offers an intensive one-year postgraduate course leading to a Master's in Mathematical Sciences. The programme is taught in association with the faculty of the Universities of Cambridge, Oxford and Paris Sud XI.


    Admission 
    The course is open to students of African nationality. Applicants should hold, or anticipate completing by the start date of the AIMS course, a 4-year university degree in mathematics, or any science or engineering subject with a significant mathematics component. An applicant's record should demonstrate strong aptitude in mathematics

    Selection
    One of the goals of AIMS is to recruit a student body representative of Africa's diversity. Each applicant's dossier will be evaluated in the light of the prior educational opportunities available to her or him. The application process is highly competitive and potential applicants must be able to demonstrate both a high degree of motivation, and the preparation and ability required to complete the course successfully.

    South Korea Undergraduate Scholarships for Kenyans

    The Government of the Republic of Korea is offering two (2) full scholarships to Kenyans for undergraduate for the 2012/2013 academic year.
    The Areas of study are in the field of Engineering, Sciences, Technology and Medicine.

    Phd Economics Scholarships for Kenyans

    AERC in collaboration with the Government of Kenya seeks to build a pool of qualified Economists and policy analysts with the ability to acquire and apply latest economic tools of analysis for effective policy analysis and policy formulation that will promote sustainable and higher level of economic growth and development, through a Scholarship Programme for PhD students in Economics.     About the program
    The East Africa Fellows Program is designed to develop the Fellows’ leadership skills and strengthen the project that they are driving. 
    The year long program is comprised of five day seminars – including one regional trip – and culminates in an innovation conference.

    Public Policy Masters Scholarships at 8 German Universities

    Who can apply?
    The scholarship scheme is open to candidates from Africa, Latin America, South Asia, Southeast Asia as well as from countries in the Middle East

    Target group
    Very well qualified graduates with a first university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) who in the future want to actively contribute to the social and economic development of their home countries. The scholarships are offered both for young graduates without professional experience and for mid-career professionals.

    What is fundable?

    The scholarships are for Master courses at a German institution of higher education. The successful candidates will study on one of the selected Master courses listed below. The courses have an international orientation and are taught in German and/or English.

    DAAD pays a monthly scholarship rate of currently 750 €. The scholarship also includes contributions to health insurance in Germany. In addition, DAAD grants an appropriate travel allowance as well as a study and research subsidy and in applicable cases rent subsidies and / or family allowances.
