An opportunity has come up for a 4 month internship (start of July 2012 to end of October 2012) at Ashanti Research Limited, a buy-side research firm focussed on the East and West African Equities Markets.

Responsibilities
1. Create design concepts and sample layouts for the company website based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
2. Design visually attractive yet formal publications.
3. Use computer software to generate new illustrations or improve the quality of existing ones.
4. Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts to the overall work given.
Intern requirements
1. An undergraduate student pursuing an Information Technology Related Degree (Computer Science, Information Technology) or other degree but with software/web development skills.
2. Knowledge of latest web technologies (Web Optimisation etc).
3. Excellent academic results to date
4. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Able to articulate complex IT issues in lay terms.
