Responsibilities
1. Create design concepts and sample layouts for the company website based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.

2. Design visually attractive yet formal publications.

3. Use computer software to generate new illustrations or improve the quality of existing ones.

4. Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts to the overall work given.

Intern requirements
1. An undergraduate student pursuing an Information Technology Related Degree (Computer Science, Information Technology) or other degree but with software/web development skills.

2. Knowledge of latest web technologies (Web Optimisation etc).

3. Excellent academic results to date

4. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Able to articulate complex IT issues in lay terms.

Intern requirements
1. An undergraduate student pursuing a finance-related degree (Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science, Finance). Students in pursuit of professional qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA) will have an added advantage.

4. Excellent academic results to date with above average writing skills

5.  Willing to commit a minimum of 40 hours per week on financial research work over the internship period

6. Evident leadership skills


The student will gain from following:
1. A close working relationship with two directors of Ashanti Research. These two directors will direct the assignments to be done and mentor the intern.

2. A monthly stipend throughout the period of the internship.

3. Access to world class equity research reports from local and international sources.

4. Work that is directly relevant to a finance-related degree.

5. A career head start: Outstanding performance will place the selected intern on a path towards a substantive full time position with the company post-graduation.

University of Nairobi Phd in Economics Scholarships
