The African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) in collaboration with the Government of Kenya seeks to build capacity in the following areas of specialization in Economics, through a Scholarship Programme for PhD students:
- Financial Economics
- Health Economics
- Energy Economics
- Natural Resource Economics
- Infrastructural Economics
- Agricultural Economics
To qualify for scholarship, candidates must have applied and been admitted to any one of the following Universities, among others of equally reputable status.
- Cornell University
- Gottingen University in Germany
- Oxford University
- University of Sussex
- University of Copenhagen
- University of Laval in Canada
- Ohio State University
- Newcastle University in UK
- University of Bonn in Germany
- Hohenheim University in Germany
- University of Gothenburg
In addition, they must have a Masters Degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics or related courses from a recognized University.
Interested candidates should submit their applications directly to the respective Universities.
The application procedure can be obtained from the Universities’ websites.
Upon receipt of admission letters, candidates should submit their application for scholarship to AERC on training@aercafrica.org, and attach their curriculum vitae, copies of academic certificates and transcripts.
The deadline for applying for the scholarship is April 30, 2013.
