Eating My Words: Denver Broncos

This is a new segment called "Eating My Words." This segment is about what I once said and what I am saying now. The first one is about the Denver Broncos.

It is not the size of dog in the fight, but the fight in the dog.

Whoever wrote this quote was dead-on. I remember saying this before start of the football regular season.

“The Denver Broncos will get Sam Bradford for the 1st pick because Kyle Orton really sucks. I mean he did not do anything for Chicago.”

“Brandon Marshall will get traded because Jay Cutler is gone.”

“Jay Cutler is going to make Denver regret trading him.”

“Denver is just going through one of those seasons.”

“How would they just let go the best coach in the business in Mike Shannahan, I mean he made mediocre running backs look like legends.”

“Josh McDaniels is going to have the same stumble as Eric Mangini, Romeo Crenell, and Charlie Weis had – a situation where we knew who ran the show i.e. Bill Bellicheck.”

…………….Unless you are a die-hard Broncos fan, I know everybody else said something similar to this too.

Now coming into week 6, I am saying this

“I was wrong.”

“Mike Nolan is mad because he got fired, that is why his defense is No.2 and people still can’t score on them in the 4th quarter.”

“Kyle Orton is making Jay Cutler look like Tommy Maddox-ish”

“Correll Buckhalter and Daryl Dawkins knew something that we did not.”

“Jay Cutler could have been better if he was with Josh McDaniels. His Fault”

“Brandon Marshall is still there and looking like the other T.O. (the effective one).”

“Denver is 6 and 0.”

……………..Oh and

“Sam Bradford will not be the 1st pick anyway. his shoulder is now his Achilles.”
