When the Gas Light Is On While You're Running on Fumes

When I thought about what I was going to talk about today, I was thinking about my car that is in the shop for problems under the hood. You see, I had this car ever since 2005 and I have put some miles into this car being that it is a gas saver. It has gone to and from Mississippi to places like North Carolina, Washington DC, Florida, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, and good ole Alabama on numerous occasions. I have garnered over 200,000 miles with only tires, changing oil, timing belt, radiator problems and tune-ups. Now driving it to work one day, I noticed that this car seems like it is on its last mile and almost wanted to quit on me. I just drove it to the shop and it just starting putting on me like it just wanted to give up.

…All in all, this car is and has been a real trooper and I tip my hat to my car. I can relate my car to two people yesterday that was like this, one Maya Moore and one Mark Calloway

Maya Moore is seriously linked as being one of the best players in this women college basketball era. Don’t believe me, go to my blogging cuzzos Ed the Sports Fan and Bull City. Sunday in the last 6 minutes of the Semifinals of the Women College Basketball Tournament, Maya Moore put on a clinic that was nothing more than amazing. It was like she took it to another level of women’s college basketball driving down the lane, making threes, and scoring from anywhere that was not out of bounds.

…The funny thing is that it was the LAST six minutes of the game, UCONN was down by 12, and Skylar Diggins along with Natalie Inc. (Achonwa and Novosel) was matching her blow for blow.

After the clock reached 35 seconds, you can see that Maya Moore was gassed out and the Mighty UCONN Huskies fell to the Luck of the Irish. You know it is funny that two of the most historic program with the longest winning streaks in college basketball fell to the Luck of the Irish in a tournament (UCLA 88 winning streak actually fell in 1974 by Digger Phelps’ Irish (Cue the Digger dance)).

The other person is Mark Calloway, better known as WWE the Undertaker, Wrestlemania for the Undertaker is more of Satan’s structure than his Hell in a Cell matches. It seems like the Undertaker kick his gear into overdrive when the Spotlight is on him and when the smoke clear, he always come out on top. Every wrestler entertainer’s dream is two things, Main Event Wrestlemania and now beat “The Streak.” This year was Triple H’s turn and one thing I know about the game is that he is a true competitor. He put his all in all physically and mentally in a match so much that he is moniker “The Cerebral Assassin.” I have seen matches that the Undertaker has participated in previous Wrestlemanias, but this one is highlighted as one of those matches where a person’s body can take a toll on them. I will call this the second best match I saw. I was on the edge of my seat after Triple H’s whap him with the chair and the Undertaker was looking like he was somewhere else other than the A, but what got me is that he was always kicking out the cover. It was so bad; you can hear Triple H telling the Undertaker to “Stay Down.” To some unveil Triple H made one uncalculated move and the Undertaker clamped on Hell’s Gates to make him tap to extend “The Streak” to 19-0. After the match, you did not see the usually Undertaker finishing rise and tongue showing with fist in the air. You saw the Undertaker still laying down looking into the sky like this match took literally everything he had. His entrance theme song from the late Johnny Cash summed up what we thought last night, ain't no grave can hold his body down.

Antwaun Cook Got His Game From Kevin Federline.

You remember when you were in high school and whether you are popular or not, there was a girl that was a senior that was dating a freshman. That freshman at one-time was dating a girl that was like popular or just that girl-next door to the freshman class but she was not really popular with the senior class. You would think when you got older that this only happen to people when they are in high school or in college. That regular guy just got her by luck of the Irish or she sees potential in him. I can never say that will it be success or failure because you never know how things turn out.

Well that case for Antuan Cook is just like that.

Fantasia Barrino has admitted she got pregnant by her married lover Antwaun Cook and had an abortion around the time of her failed suicide attempt, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

The American Idol winner made the sensational confession in a North Carolina court on Monday during Cook’s divorce proceeding with his ex-wife Paula.

Facing questions before a Mecklenburg County Court judge, the famous singer, 26, was pressed on whether she knew Cook was living with Paula when they embarked on their illicit affair.

The Idol season three winner has acknowledged she dated Cook “off and on for about 11 months” but said she believed he had separated from his wife.

When I think on Antuan Cook, I really think of another guy by the name of Kevin Federline. We all know him as K-Fed. Now for those who lived under a rock through the 2000s, let me put you up to speed on Kevin Federline.

Kevin Federline broke up with his finacee, former Moesha co-star actress Shar Jackson to date and eventually marry pop star Britney Spears. Well short years and a couple children later, they were divorced. K-Fed made Britney Spears look like a train wreck (….and sometimes she did it to herself), got custody of the kids and made Britney look like a shell of herself.

Now you all are wondering “How is that dude connected to K-Fed?”

They both had small-time jobs – Even though Kevin Federline was a dancer, a dancer in the West Coast is equivalent to what Mr. Cook was doing working at a cell phone company.

They both were either married or close to marriage with children – Although Paula Cook haven’t had the mainstream attraction like Shar Jackson (Who don’t remember Neicey from Moesha?), they both have the same thing in common, big time stars took their man.

Both are literally “opportunist” – Love them or hate them for it. You cannot deny the fact that that both K-Fed and Antuan status rose to the roof after they started dating their new women.

Both are still “opportunist” – K-Fed milked his way into stardom for about 15 seconds and Antuan looks like he is going to do the same. Don’t you remember this….

……Yeah me neither.

…..And both endings will become the same – For some reason Fantasia used a publicity stunt for her new reality show almost commited suicide was a train wreck waiting to happen. Britney Spears train wreck was of epic portions. Who don’t remember the baby on the driver side knowing paparazzi is going to take pictures and the police is going to wonder that they made have to get child services on-call for you. The point is K-Fed and Antuan is going to look the same after that. high status opportunities on celebrity miscues.

What do you think about the relationship between Fantasia and Antuan Cook. Do you feel that this is for real, or just Antuan opportunity to stardom? Do you think Fantasia will have a meltdown like Britney did and lose a glimpse of her stardom like Britney did?

(Oh I little off and little on subject. Years ago I believe everybody said that Jennifer Hudson and David Otnuga was going to be train wreck, including me. I actually like the fact that their lifestyles (her as an actress, him as a wrestler) don't really collide and they are still doing the thing.)

Alicia Keys and Gabby Union: Why They Can Get Away With It and You Can't.

Seems like Homewrecking is what hot around the streets. Months ago, we were talking about the D-Wade, Gabirelle Union, and Siohvaughn Wade and just yesterday, the net was buzzing about the pregnancy and engagement and of Alicia Keys and Swizz Beats. But the rumor mill was out months prior that Alicia Keys was dating him while he was married to F-List R&B recording artist Mashonda Dean and had two sons. He ended up divorcing Ms. Dean and is paying child support.

I have to admit. Swiss is taking the road less travel is cool and for real, Swiss went from a Lexus to a Bentley when he got with Alicia Keys. Although Swiss got the girl like Nick Cannon, he still has to be ridiculed for cheating (You know...because he was married at that time).

…..but this is not about ole Swiss, he know what he did.

This is really talking to all the jumpoffs and homewreckers that think this is a success story of “I’ll take your man,” and tries to grow some vagina lips to snag a guy that you have been wanting for years. I will give you five good reasons why this can be an epic fail for you.

1 1 . She is Alicia Keys, and she is Grabrielle Union and YOU ARE NOT: They are stars in the limelight and can snag any guy they want to.

2. When they get away with it. Tabloids are buzzing about them (which they don’t care), when you do it, chances are the news will be buzzing, but it will either be in the streets, the 10 o’clock news, or Cheaters. Like this:

3. You think those guy are going to replace them? Well they could (See Howard Hughes), but just remember, you are just are replaceable as the woman you took him from.

4. What so different: Ginuwine can talk to you on that.

5. Brenda Harvey syndrome: You never know what a woman that has been married for years is going to do.

…To add to that extra note. You want to know why black relationships are at an all-time low. Sometimes people will have to check who is doing the homewrecking.

What are your thoughts on celebrity homewreckers? Do you think men cheating , women taking married men, or both is really hurting the black family?

Swiss and Alicia confirm pregnancy and engagement.

63 Years: The Loyalty of a Teacher

Now anybody knows me on my blog post I rarely post about my hometown because unless it is Vicksburg, Jack-town, Natchez, or any other town that I travel to everyday, there is nothing to post. Well actually Sunday I had something to hit up about my hometown, but the only reason I post it today because of my busy schedule. The thing is it is not about no Negro-Nonsense because we have that almost everyday. I am going to talk about a woman that I know.

….Well I knew she was old, but wow the accomplishment she achieved is beyond “the average educator.”

When Emma Brandon began teaching she earned $36 a month, walked three miles one way to school - seven miles if overnight rain made the creek too swollen to cross - and toted her own lunch of biscuits and syrup.

A lot has changed in the 63 years since. There are computers and standardized tests. Schools have been consolidated and integrated. Principals have come and gone.

Last week, Brandon decided to step out of the classroom for good, becoming one of the hundreds of Mississippi school teachers to retire this summer.

Roughly 800 to 1,000 teachers have retired each year for the last decade, the state Public Employees Retirement System reports.

The average tenure for those teachers is 24 years, said Pete Smith, spokesman for the state Department of Education.

Brandon went into teaching fresh out of high school in 1946. It was her escape from the farming life destined for so many others in her rural community.

Now I have been knowing Mrs. Brandon since I was born, and I am not going to tell you how old I am but let say this, she has more years than how old I am. Mrs. Brandon was always so nice to our class. She was a class act from generation to generation. Come to think about it, let’s recap the things that was going on in 1947

I mean seriously, black people had No chance in h-e-double hockey sticks that an full-fledge African American would be in the White House.

There was no tennis stars in the WTA.

Brown vs The Board of Education was not even mentioned.

Civil Rights was a scary word.

World War II was 2 years done.

Truman was the Prez.

IBM was a younging.

And the Klan was running (see Dixiecrat).

The average teacher tenure is close to 30 years, but Mrs. Brandon has taught men and women, their sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sons, grandsons, daughters, grand-daughters, great grandsons, great granddaughters, and even a great-great grandson for 63 years.

So to Mrs. Brandon, I tip my hat to you.

Do you think the old-school teachers are the most under-appreciated? How many people have know anyone who have taught for over half a century?

Mrs. Brandon retires after 63 years.

...And That is Why They Call Him LL Cool J

LL is seriously one of my favorite rappers of all-time. As well as his crushing MCs on the mic, he is the one who really got the ladies wet every time he spit 64 bars. I guess the women of the view wanted to know why they call him. Sheri should have known, but Elizabeth and Joy got a view of why they call him LL.

I really think all them ladies just had an orgasm and Elizabeth, Joy, and Sheri just had multiples why he was doing that.

.. Oh the hilarity of LL.

Did you see this and How did you take this?

Hit Momma and You Will Catch A Hot One.

I know Sunday that we celebrated Mother’s Day; but wow two days after we celebrated a time for our mother, Robert Fultz wanted to treat his mother like a punching bag. The consequence he got from that not only from the police, but his own mother.

Robert Fultz was hitting his mother in the face, so she got a gun and shot him in the buttocks, Jackson Police Department spokesman Officer Joseph Daughtry said.

Now she is one of them ole’ school moms. You know the ones that will whip that ass with anything and if you hit her, she will make sure that her presence is felt with any piece of equipment. I am guessing that the gun was the closest so she had to make him feel what she was talking about.

As for this guy, he is going to get his hole opened up embarrass in jail. One, people that know how to jail don’t take to kindly to women abusers. You know they are going to find out that it was his mother is just going to tick them off. I hope he knows how to jail because if he doesn’t, Bubba and Deebo will be fighting over their new girlfriend.

How do you feel about the ole school mom giving her son a hot one in the butt?

Mother Shoots son after he hits her.

Weekend Jam - Mother's Day

Well after doing exams, cramming, fatigue, and other stuff that I did not know my body can go through, I had to take time to wish every mother, aunt, god-mother, and motherly woman a Happy Mother's Day. So for the Weekend Jam, I am just going to play my all-time favorite Mother's Day song. I will be back shortly with major post, an upcoming post on Black Man's Law, and a week of guest bloggers with a catchy theme call "Who's at the Ace House."

...for now enjoy the tune and Happy Mother's Day.

The C.Y.N.I.C.A.L Side of: UCONN Huskies Women's Basketball Team

I can really say that being a sports fan, either you like the underdog and you love your favorite. I can tell you things like this.

In the NFL, you love the Cowboys or you really, really hate them.

In the NBA, you love the Lakers or you really, really hate them.

In Major League Baseball, you love the Yankees or the Red Sox or you really, really hate them (sorry, both are annoying at times).

In college football, you love THE Ohio State University Buckeyes or you really, really hate them.

In men’s college basketball, you love the Duke Blue Devils or you really, really hate them (...and you don’t have to be an UNC fan for that one).

And now it has spewed over into women college basketball.

In women’s college basketball, you love the UCONN Huskies or you really, really hate them.

I cannot feel sympathy for the rest of women’s college basketball when I say that UCONN is either “that good” or women’s college basketball recruitment has gotten “that bad.” Geno Auriemma is really that legendary of a coach. Their dominance in the women’s rank has gone down as even legendary as those Tennessee Lady Vols day and even Louisiana Tech dominance in the early 80s with the short sleeve jerseys. They play the game with great fundamentals and every time they usually have a backup player waiting to place their status of women’s basketball legendaries when their players graduate. You remember those old UCLA teams in the 60s. John Wooden replaced Lew Alcindor with Bill Walton, Gail Goodrich with Lynn Shackleford and Sidney Wicks with Keith Wilkes. Other colleges just ended up stepping the recruitment up after that.

So for all the women’s college basketball coaches that want to end UCONN, here is a note. Start recruiting better.

Would you rather watch UCONN beat the breaks off every team until someone challenge them or would you be happy just to see someone upset them?

Can anyone Challenge UCONN? Seriously!

The FLOTUS Showing Hospitality About "A Healthier You"

I have been hearing this all this week about Michele Obama going to Jackson to promote healthier food choice for children and fighting obesity, out of all place Jackson, MS. Now I do live in Mississippi and think this a nice thing that Michele Obama is doing.

Obama’s tour was the first of two stops at schools where programs to keep children active are held out as examples of fighting obesity.

Obama was in Jackson to promote school health as part of her recently announced Let’s Move! campaign. The campaign in part focuses on a healthy diet and physical activity in schools.

……As much as she fighting for obesity, is the children’s parent going to fight obesity?

I really see some of the parents and stores fighting for it (mainly grocery stores, like your neighborhood Kroger and Wal Mart). That is good. Also, the other part of my mind is saying this…

I can’t see it. I live in a state where I can identify many Preciouses’ than Paula Pattons’. But it never starts with the child. It is the parent. Those elementary schools she is going have store that are ran by Middle-Eastern Americans that usually have Rap Snacks, Golden Flake Sweet Heat and candy up the ying-yang (I am not going to forget about the thick ham sandwiches, not the thin deli ones.) The children are going to see the FLOTUS and get happy, and do the things that she tells us. After one month, back to munching those Rap Snacks and Golden Flake Sweet Heat all over again.

The point is it takes parents to choose how you want to eat. I know that most of my family eats healthy every now and then. It is called miss-a-meal. As for the children, I believe that you can have Souljah Boi do a dance called “Eat Healthy” and promote an apple a day; but if the child say “I am hungry,” at the point of our microwave mindset will have those parents going to the nearest gas station than driving minutes to a nearby grocery store.

But I really do give the FLOTUS thumbs up for promoting it. Children need inspiration like that.

(Do you see Mrs. Barbour and Governor Barbour compared to Michele Obama. And you wonder why they call us the “Fattest State.”)

How are you promoting a healthier you? I am going to eat steam broccoli 3 times a day (Wait a minute, I do that already).

First Lady is coming to Mississippi to promote "Let's Move."

Waterboarding In The Schools?

What goes better than teachers getting fired?

…………….How about assistant teachers doing waterboarding on students.

The father of a Smith Elementary School student has filed a simple assault charge against a teacher accusing her of holding his 8-year-old daughter’s head underwater.

Hold up, this gets better. Here is what little Kaylan Owen said what happened.

“I turned on the water to wash my hands and my assistant teacher, Ms. Levy said, ‘Girl, you getting on my nerves.’ She started to put my head under the water and the water kept getting higher and higher. I couldn't breathe and I started coughing and then she held my head up from under the water and she slammed me into the file cabinet and I felt really sad,” Kaylan said.

Betty Levy apologized to Mr. Owen, but what person will dunk a little kid’s head underwater in school for getting out of her seat without permission. Now that is reason people can tag butts in school let alone let your teacher tag your butt. Because of Betty Levy, discipline will never fly in school.

Thanks, Ms. Levy for now letting kids run over teachers. Because of your pure emotions, you just put the school in a bad situation and you are filed a simple assault charges.

Who let these people work for your school?

How do you feel about this?

How Can You Apologize To A Mistress?

The answer is you can’t.

I saw the Tiger Woods apology like everybody else; and just like the majority of men, I believe that he just need to apologize to his wife. That is my personal view. The thing that got me baffle is that Joslyn James (also known as Veronica Siwik Daniels) wants Tiger to apologize to her.

Tiger Woods mistresses just want to stay in the spotlight! Even after Tiger Woods publicly apologized on Friday LIVE! That wasn't enough!

Now Joslyn James (also known as Veronica Siwik Daniels) was with attorney Gloria Allred. She gave up the Adult Film business because of Tiger.. for three years.

She knew he was married and still carried on the affair!

She apparently became pregnant twice during her fling with Tiger and told the world that one sadly ended up in miscarriage and the other one she had aborted one pregnancy to protect Woods' rep.

“I never wanted to cause Elin, Sam or Charlie any pain. But I’m not the sole cause. Tiger pursued me and over time I fell in love with him. And he told me he loved me too,” she said before crying.

Veronica said she couldn't help but fall in love with Woods.

"You can't help who you love. I just wish I was told the truth and then I would have made other choices. Tiger, however, hid many things from many people."

All I have to say is………………”What?” or “Huh?”

This woman knew Tiger was married, so why do he need to apologize to a person that knew what he has? This is like “I shot a person in posterior, and he should apologize because I did not want to shoot him.” This woman was a serious jump-off. She thought that he was going to come to her and divorce his wife for an Adult Entertainer. That is like dumping a college grad for some chick at the Waffle House that he met at the club. Tiger apology is not the moment I was caring for, this mistress jump-off wanted an apology from Tiger when she knew his scenario is the moments that people blog about.

Do you think that Tiger should apologize to his jump-offs mistresses? My answer is no, but what is everybody’s opinion on this?

Tiger Woods’ Mistresses Want Apologies Too

What If: Kelis Can Channel back to 1997-2002?

Today I was driving and unfortunately I had to skip Mike and Mike because of the static and the wind. So I turn to one of my R&B Station which plays the same song every 10 min (you know what I am talking about). It may me wonder the following thought:

How come good artist have crappy music and the most slept on is their best?

The case-in-point scenario goes to R&B artist Kelis. I am sure everybody knew Kelis now as the mother to Nas’s child and also the woman to want a big lump sum of Nas money for child support. I don’t know why after her third album Tasty, she went off on the deep end. Kelis is one of maybe two artists I can recall that that should have stayed the way she was. The other is Whitney circa 96’ (Waiting to Exhale) was her last time she sounded good. Kelis first album and collab with Ol Dirty Bastard was pure genius, plus she was the front woman of StarTrax (see Pharrell and Chad aka The Neptunes). She had a debut that revolutionized the broken and batter woman with “Caught Out There,” and a sensual slow jam with “Get Along With You.” The notary was not just because of her song, but her style. She was a “Mona Lisa in Motion” which is rare because so many R&B women at that time were and still is like robots; same tune, same dance, just different name. Her second album “Wanderland” to some in the U.S. was not really hot here in the U.S. but let me assure you that this album is by far number one in “The most Under-rated Album of All-Time,” bar none. She didn’t fit in with the Beyonces’, the MJB, or the Myas’ at that time. I mean from “Young, Fresh, and New” which can be a jingle if you want to get a product out there for the teens, to “Scared Money” which is seductive with words that are intriguing, to “Lil Suzie” which artist type flow differ and is uniquely visible into the cerebrum. The Neptunes, whether they know it or not, had an album that really is going to stick with children for generations to come. Have you ever heard “Star Wars?” This is a hidden track, but if you listen real good, pure subluminal messaging for the kids.

Now when came out with “Tasty”, Kelis went 180 and thought oh well I can use Nas instead of Clipse in “Popular Thug” (I think Clipse version is the best), or collaborated with big time artist like Andre 3000 and Enrique Iglesias was okay. But now many people felt how she changed her style was not her. “Kelis Was Here” may have produced some hits, but as an artist she just really tanked.

Kelis needs to know that the “Mona Lisa in Motion,” is still there. She has to bring it out of her.

Do you Think Kelis need to channel her 1997-2002 style back?

Girls Generation - Korean
